Congresswoman Mary Jo Kilroy on Countdown with Keith Olbermann

This is the email I just received from the Honorable Mary Jo Kilroy:

You may have heard that instead of focusing dialogue on finding solutions to our nation’s critical challenges, many Republicans in the House of Representatives have been up to partisan tricks and games again.

Their attacks on new members of Congress, including myself, have shown that Republican Congressman Eric Cantor, Republican Congresswoman Virginia Foxx, and their desperate colleagues in the party of “no” would rather follow the lead of Rush Limbaugh than have to find real solutions.

They are so desperate they even interrupted me when I was on the floor of the House of Representatives talking about an amendment to national service programs like VISTA.

Yesterday I appeared on Countdown with Keith Olbermann and responded. If you missed Countdown, or if you want to watch the clip again, please click on the clip below:

“No” priorities, “no” solutions, and “no” meaningful dialogue – the party of “no” sounds more like the failed Bush administration that we replaced last fall.

Full of partisan rhetoric, Republicans prefer to be the party of “no” solutions and “no” ideas to turn our country around. Even when President Obama addressed our nation on the state of our economy, Congressman Cantor preferred to watch Britney Spears in concert instead.

I will continue working with President Obama and Congress to find real solutions to balance the budget, improve access to healthcare, and create jobs.
