HRC Logo Appears in Orbitz's Television Commercial

Some of you may have already seen Orbitz’s latest commercial which features an HRC logo on a shirt. Rest assured, Orbitz contacted HRC asking to license a piece of merchandise with an HRC logo for this national commercial.

The commercial features four men on a golf course, three of whom used Orbitz to book their vacation and one who did not. The three are awarded a check from Orbitz for the cost difference since their vacation cost less than when they booked it (the man in the HRC shirt is one of the three) and one man does not receive a check, implying that he should have booked with Orbitz.

The commercial began airing on June 15 and will be seen nationally on 20 cable stations.

Orbitz is a company that has a strong history of reaching out to the LGBT community. In fact, Orbitz scores a perfect 100% on the CEI. The ad fits into HRC’s strategy to try and broaden our reach to a larger segment of the population, both LGBT and straight, and continues to help disseminate our organization’s brand.
