Chris Redfern's Statement on Re-Election as Chairman of the Ohio Democratic Party

COLUMBUS, OHIO – Following the Ohio Democratic Party State Central Committee's biennial reorganization meeting, Chairman Chris Redfern released the following statement:

"I'm honored that tonight an overwhelming number of elected State Central Committee members put their faith in my continuing ability to effectively fight for our Democratic values and serve as Chairman of the Ohio Democratic Party for a fourth full term.

"During this process, I've been grateful for the opportunity to speak with elected party officials, activists, and labor leaders from every corner of our state. I’m looking forward to using their thoughtful input and suggestions as the Ohio Democratic Party unites to push back against the Republicans’ war on women and attacks on working families.

"Over the past seven years, I've been proud to help build the Ohio Democratic Party into one of the largest, most effective Democratic organizations in the nation. Now, I'm pleased that our Democratic family can move forward, rallying around the unifying goal of re-electing President Obama, Senator Sherrod Brown, Justice Yvette McGee Brown and electing Democrats up and down the ticket across Ohio."
