A police raid on a Greenwich Village bar, the Stonewall Inn, on June 28, 1969, sparked days of riots and launched the modern gay rights movement. In this new film, Stonewall patrons, Village Voice reporters, and the cop who led the raid look back at that moment and the attitudes of the time. (82 mins., video)

Also on the program is Last Address, the latest from filmmaker Ira Sachs. The short film that takes you on a tour past the exteriors of the last residences of New York artists who have died of AIDS, including Keith Haring, Robert Mapplethorpe, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, and others. (8 mins., video)

Stay after the Thursday screening for a panel discussion with Sachs and local experts Doug Whaley (professor emeritus in Ohio State's Moritz College of Law) and Lyn Hegarty (senior lecturer in Ohio State's Department of History).
