Columbus - This afternoon at Columbus City Hall, Mayor Michael B. Coleman, Columbus City Council President Andy Ginther and Columbus City Council Member Zach Klein announced that the City of Columbus will be establishing a Domestic Partner Registry.
By establishing this registry, couples across the city, both LGBT and straight, will finally get the opportunity to show their commitment to each other, share that commitment with family, friends and others and have it recognized by their municipality.
“This is a proud moment for Columbus and its citizens as we continue to make progress in the name of equality. It is our hope that as these efforts will not only help Columbus maintain an economic advantage, but also provide more evidence that Columbus and Ohio can truly be places where everyone feels at home.” Said Zac Branstool, Director of Communications for Equality Ohio.
