Short
North Stage Presents: The Irish Curse
The Short North
Stage's current production is a hilariously frank but human comedy
about five men and the rare conversations between them about how The
Irish Curse of size - or rather lack of it - has ruled their lives. The
play, which runs through April 1, revolves around a weekly therapy
group for men afflicted with this alleged Irish shortcoming. When a
twenty-something newcomer arrives, he challenges them to examine
questions of identity, masculinity, sex, relationships and social
status that the "curse" has thrown at them.
