Short North This Weekend: Italian Festival, Next Weekend: Follies and Columbus Marathon

Italian Festival Don't miss the great food and entertainment at this year's Italian Festival this weekend Friday - Sunday.  The Columbus Italian Club will be attempting to shatter the Guiness World Record for the world's largest meatball.  More information is available at www.columbusitalianfestival.com FOLLIES! After lighting up the Garden Theater sign Saturday night, Short North Stage goes into rehearsal this week for its premier production, the legendary Stephen Sondheim musical Follies (in Concert). Opening night has already sold out, so get your tickets for the other five performances soon. Columbus Marathon - October 16th The 32nd Columbus Marathon is Sunday October 16th.  Come out and cheer on the 11,000 runners as they come through the Short North.  There will be rolling street closures so be sure to plan accordingly.  More information is available at www.columbusmarathon.com
